Your Guide:
On this episode of Your Retirement Elevated podcast with Scott Dougan, we’re talking about “this too shall pass.” We have had no shortage of bad news in the news lately. Between the pandemic and Russia/Ukraine, we have a new apocalypse du jour.
At times, the financial media degenerates into one long scream about some or another crisis to the point that it becomes the nearly total focus.
We want our clients to worry more about their retirement than their money. When inflation and other things persist, we want to talk about how that could affect your retirement and how to sleep well at night without worry.
You need someone on your side, guiding you through a financial plan, and helping you deal with worries about the world. It’s impossible to know when problems will resolve or how the markets will react. But you need to focus on your goals and long-term plans, not catastrophic headlines.
We prefer to stick to our financial principles and be guided by history rather than headlines. Remember, this too shall pass. We want to be a sounding board for our clients and help them not give in to fear.
Our primary job is to prepare you for the certainty of uncertainty. We have educated guesses, and we can prepare you for whatever happens and help you make a rational decision, even though you might think the sky is falling and the world is coming apart.
We’ll be ready for the financial implications of dying. We’ll be ready for the financial implications of living. We’ll be ready for the financial implications of not being healthy and the financial implications of being healthy. And we’ll be ready for the markets being up or the markets being down.
No matter what happens, if you need money, we’ll have a smart place to get it.
